Your contribution supports an important and extremely relevant cause. Beginning with the Stonewall riot in New York City, the case for GLBTQ equality continues to charge on. Today, we face many of the same issues and many new ones. From coast-to-coast, pride events continue to shine the light on gay and lesbian members of communities all over America, each with its own unique colors and flavors. Boise is no exception. As a non-profit organization, every penny that comes into the company must be reinvested in the company and must support its mission.
The costs of producing pride are very significant. Your contributions assist us in paying for licensing fees, rent, and other costs with the City of Boise, the Boise Parks Department, the Boise Police Department, the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, and other various agencies along with the cost of insurance and the staging and sound for the festival. They also support the costs of marketing, providing entertainment, ATM rental and other miscellaneous expenditures.
Additionally, income from donations, sponsorship and fundraising will help to support various income generating events and ventures. Everything, from the wholesale purchase of beer for the beer garden, booking a nationally recognized act to the production of pride memorabilia, is supported by our fundraising efforts.
We expect attendance at this year's pride festival to far surpass last year's record turn out. Make your company an Event Sponsor and reach out to thousands of customer and supporters. Event sponsors will have their company logo printed on all promotional material, media advertizing, pride products, and be featured on our website. Your company will be given time to address the community at the rally and will receive a free, prime location, booth space and float entry in the parade.
If becoming an Event Sponsor is out of your reach, consider one of the four remaining sponsorship levels. No contribution will be turned away. Booth space and float entry can be purchased a la carte and does not require sponsorship.
